Structures in Geologic Maps
The Appalachian Mountains of eastern North America is a region with many fold and fault structures that formed over several mountain-building episodes, millions of years ago. The Williamsville Quadrangle is located in the Valley and Ridge province of Virginia and is an excellent area for studying folds.
