According to this equation, the net force vector is equal to the product of a positive scalar (i.e., the mass) and the acceleration vector.� Because the mass is always positive, the directions of the net force and acceleration vectors must be the same.�

The directions you indicated in the �Velocity Direction� and �Net Force Direction� diagrams are different.� Change the direction of the net force so that it matches the direction of the acceleration. �(#108).
