Metamorphic Rocks in Geologic Maps
Metamorphic rocks are locally exposed across Arizona, from the mountain ranges in southern and central Arizona to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. The largest exposures are in the rugged mountains of central Arizona, including the Four Peaks area of the Mazatzal Mountains (northeast of Phoenix).
