Plutonic rocks are important components in many geologic terranes around the world, especially where uplift and erosion have been active. These rocks are displayed on many different geologic maps, including ones from Arizona. Let's look more closely at plutonic rocks on the Geologic Map of Arizona and the Geologic Map of the South Mountains.
