Prelude
You are undoubtedly familiar with some of the more famous geologic attractions, like Hawaii, the Grand Canyon, Mount St. Helens, etc. You have probably seen and wondered about lots of other, lesser-known places as well. To understand the natural histories of these places, you need an understanding of some basic geologic concepts. This semester, you will get to visit, explore, and learn about some cool geology and geologic processes. You'll start in on the real content next week, but for now, relax, get comfortable, and enjoy your first GLG 101IN Lab Activity.
